Johor Bahru · two genuine branches

MassageJohor Bahru

Two branches, two very different parts of Johor Bahru. Permas Jaya sits on the older, established side of the city; Gelang Patah is over in Iskandar Puteri, minutes from the Second Link crossing into Singapore.

Permas Jaya

Been running here a good while now. Close to AEON Mall Permas Jaya, walkable from a fair chunk of the neighbourhood, and the Sunday night market draws a proper crowd every week, street food, local stalls, the whole thing.

Two bridges connect Permas Jaya to the rest of JB, the original and a second one that opened back in 2012, though both back up during peak hours. If you're crossing from Singapore through CIQ, Permas Jaya's genuinely one of the closer JB spots to reach.

Gelang Patah

Different feel entirely. This is the older core of Iskandar Puteri, sitting right by the Second Link, the crossing point into Tuas on the Singapore side, so if you're coming from that direction specifically, Gelang Patah's often the more convenient stop compared to Permas Jaya.

The wider area includes Puteri Harbour, EduCity and the Nusajaya commercial stretch, all within a short drive. Exact street-level directions are best confirmed directly over WhatsApp rather than publishing something generic that might not match what you see when you arrive.

03 · What's available where

The branch menu is not identical

Oil and full body massage run at both branches. Thai, foot, hot oil and 4 hand formats need a branch-level confirmation, and 4 hand is never a guaranteed walk-in because two therapists must be free together.

Note

That 4 hand row is worth being straight about. It needs two therapists free at the same exact time, so message ahead specifically if that is what you want rather than just showing up.

04 · What actually gets booked most

Start with what people return for

01

Oil massage leads at both branches, real pressure work rather than something light and forgettable.

02

Thai massage comes up often, particularly the dry stretching version at Permas Jaya. Confirm which version a branch runs before heading over.

03

Foot massage sees heavy traffic around Permas Jaya, which makes sense given how much walking happens around AEON and the Sunday market.

06 · Getting there

Choose the crossing first

Bridge traffic into Permas Jaya gets rough during peak hours, both bridges, so build in extra time if you're driving over in the evening. Coming from Pasir Gudang or Plentong is still manageable. For Gelang Patah, if you're crossing the Second Link from Singapore, it's a shorter run than heading all the way to Permas Jaya.

07 · Hours

Hours differ slightly branch to branch, so check directly rather than assuming both run identical closing times. Evening bookings are common at both, after-work traffic at Gelang Patah and after-market traffic at Permas Jaya on Sundays specifically.

Core ones, oil and full body, yes at both. Thai massage and 4 hand availability varies, so confirm with the specific branch first.

Which branch is busier on weekends?

Permas Jaya specifically around Sunday evenings, tied to the night market crowd.

Yes, though hours differ slightly. Check directly rather than assuming identical closing times.
